Ted: The next clip is about a famous Easter procession in Seville, Spain. The procession is called “la Madrugá”, which means dawn or, in German, “die Morgenröte”. In 2020, the procession was canceled, “abgesagt”, and last year was only allowed with restrictions, or “Einschränkungen”. This year, with COVID restrictions lifted, thousands of happy spectators lined the streets. There are events, or “Veranstaltungen”, all over the country in the week before Easter, “in der Karwoche”, but those in Seville are the most famous. Let’s listen in.
