The Neverending Saga

1996 was the last year Winnipeg had a professional hockey team. Their Jets had been moved south to Arizona where no one cared about hockey. Though demoralizing for many Winnipeggers, folks gradually accepted it. Only a few crazies still held on to the idea that Winnipeg could have a team again one day. Then it happened. 15 years later, the Jets came back.

Sam Hagenlocher wrote a children's story for adults about one of the most heartwarming stories in sports.

Over Time

Canada's men's hockey team at the 2010 Olympics
Joe Johnson, not one to be interested in sports, was captivated by the men's hockey final at the 2010 Olympics – Canada vs. USA. Joe was home with his family, watching the game when in the second intermission his father unexpectedly announced he was leaving their mother and moving out. Then they watched the third period.
